Day 54

The positive progress for Los continues 🙏.    His family and doctors were able to get him to sit up in a chair for a little bit earlier today.  It was a brief, short moment — but an awesome milestone nonetheless.   The hope is to get him more comfortable with sitting up over the coming days, with the goal to get him outside and into some sunshine!!

This afternoon Los had both eyes wide open, was answering questions when we asked him to blink for a “yes”, was giving some thumbs up when directed, and was moving his toes when directed as well.   He is still off and on with some drowsiness and “blank stares” as his brain continues to heal, and spending most of the day asleep and resting…. But these spurts of wakefulness and responsiveness are so great to see.

Please be praying that Los can continue this forward progress and that the family’s next goals and wishes for him (to get Los into the best specialized care possible in Colorado or Chicago, which he should be cleared for shortly) can come to fruition as they work through the tricky insurance approval process these next few days (fighting and advocating for Los to get him into the “best of the best” neurological care facility)  🙏🙏

The family thanks all of you for the continued prayers and support.  They are being felt and are truly working as God’s healing hand continues to bring Los further into a conscious state.

Let’s go, Los!  💪

Day 54 From the Family

Wow, what a day! Los was wide awake again at 6:00am 🤠 He yawned a lot and smacked his lips very comfortably and seemed to wake up even more. He seemed to be more aware of his surroundings than I have seen the previous 53 days! He was very interested in the photos on the wall and window and stared intently at them for some time. It is great to see him really focusing on his visitors and surroundings.

Let’s go, Los!  💪
